Ana Prundaru

Frost Bound

by afternoon we are annoyed
you should cast your
drought on your half-truths
why don’t you reiki yourself quiet
you don’t bother to look up
you were born in darkness
sneak a cigarette after another
while all of us carry
all we can carry, disarmed along
the spectrum, while we
go extinct
the silence overcomes you
again, hammering nails down
your world
you shut the door inside
and sing we should try that hemp
oil treatment
it is so absolutely wonderful, it really is
