i am drinking dirt & choking but at least i am capable
of creating a garden within my stomach
i think i will grow petunias & lilies & a sense of self
that will blossom in every season.
i hug myself & fertilize my self-worth & i open my mouth wide &
swallow the sun, illuminate my dark & allow the
growth of my flowers:
i will no longer water someone else at the expense of my whole.
